Major General Hassan Umoru has been appointed to succeed Major General Yusha’u Mahmood Abubakar, as the new military’s director of defence information, Operation Lafiya Dole in the northeast.
General Yusha'u Mahmood Abubakar was just appointed four months ago.
Also appointed the deputy theatre commander, is Major General Lucky Irabor.
According to Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, he said, this was done to re-strategize and inject new tactics to the existing operational procedures with the aim of finally knocking out the terrorists who now devised means of hitting soft targets through suicide bombings and isolated attacks on remote villages.
