Former Newcastle Goalkeeper dies

The 47-year-old retired goalkeeper suffered a cardiac arrest during his morning exercise routine some days ago, he was rushed to the hospital where he was taken to the intensive care unit after an induced coma. He gave up the ghost nine days later.

Srnicek also played for West Ham United in the EPL, and was loved by many during his time at the St. James Park between 1991 and 1998.

His agent, Steve Wraith said “irreversible damage” was discovered after his brain was scanned and that he “had to be taken” off the life support machine.

“Pav passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, 29 December 2015, with his family by his side.”
