Politicians demand redeployment of Security operatives

Following the crisis in the previous Bayelsa elections, top politicians in the state including governorship aspirants from 11 registered political parties have called for immediate redeployment of security operatives fingered in the electoral fraud and violence that marred the governorship election in Southern Ijaw local government area.

These politicians have asked for the redeployment of the likes of the deputy inspector general of police, Hashimu Argungun, the state commissioner of police, Nasiru Oki and other operatives claiming that these security operatives aided the rigging of the Bayelsa elections. They claim that if these officials are allowed to participate in the next election, the election will end up rigged.
