After the rule by the tribunal, Governor Wike appealed to the Court of Appeal, rejecting the rule of the Court of Appeal, he has planned to take the case to the Supreme Court.
In a statement issued by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Governor Wike has disagreed with the judgment of all the Court of Appeal, hence his decision to challenge the Appeal Court judgment at the Supreme Court.
He has assured the Rivers State people that he still remains their Governor pending the ruling of the Supreme Court and has expressed confidence that the ruling of the Supreme Court will favour Justice which he claims is his win at the April 11 election.
He also assured the people that on going projects won't be left pending, that is, the projects will continue.
