The General Officer Commanding 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Adeniyi Oyebade has disclosed that the wife of Sheik Ibraheem Zakzaky, the leader of Shiites is alive and held in Custody .
It is said that she was rescued with her husband during the clash as against what was earlier speculated.
The Kaduna state Commissioner of police, Mr Umar Shehu also confirmed that the Shi'ite Islamic group did not seek permission from the police force before embarking on a protest that have left about 100 dead members in the hands of the Nigerian troops.
