A referee, Basil Giwa on monday,
after completing the 12 laps of the high intensity test reportedly slumped and died during the Zonal leg of the National Fitness Test exercise in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Before death, Giwa was among the Grade One Referees who took part in the Fitness Test expected of Referees willing to take part in activities of the Nigeria Referees Associations this coming season.
Actual cause of death unknown.
R.I.P Mr Giwa.
