Police Officer found guilty of sexually assaulting 13 black women

An Oklahoma City Police officer, Daniel Holtzclaw who was accused of  sexually assaulting 13 black women have been found guilty of the charges on rape and sexual battery on yesterday by an all white jury who had deliberated for over 45 hours.

He was acquitted for 18 charges brought against him and convicted of 18 charges of which he was convicted, included four counts of first-degree rape which carries a possible sentence of life imprisonment.

The jury also convicted Holtzclaw for forcible oral sodomy, second-degree rape, sexual battery and procuring lewd exhibition. Sentencing is scheduled for next month. Daniel whose birthday was on thursday, December 10 sobbed loudly while the ruling was read.

Some activists have shared their support to the ruling of the court.
