Northern Governors warn President Buhari on Zaria crisis

Governors of the 19 northern states under the umbrella of the Northern States Governors Forum, urgently met to discuss recent clash between the Nigerian army and members of Shi’ites group, which led to the deaths of many people in Zaria, Kaduna state.

The Governors have issued a warning to the President on his handling of the crisis saying that they won't want a repeat of what happened in Borno during the emergence of the  Boko Haram crisis.

Kashim Shettima, the chairman of the forum and Borno state governor,  representing the forum further expressed that the Zaria crisis cannot be compared to the Boko Haram crisis but it would be wise for measures to be taken to avoid escalation as the Shi'ite Islamic group have members spread across the 19 Northern states and beyond.

Meanwhile, prominent Lagos-based lawyer and social justice activitist, Ebun-Olu Adegberuwa has called on the President Buhari to instantly sack the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai.

Following that the Army claims the Shi'ite group were after Buratai while the Shi'ite group have said otherwise.

Dear readers, What's your take on the matter?
