Four days to their wedding, Miriam Gakenia,31, and her fiance James Mwangi, 27, on their way to buy wedding items were involved in a road accident at Kiangwachi area along Nyeri-Nairobi highway on Tuesday, December 15.
The accident left Gakenia with a right hip joint injury and a broken right arm while Mwangi's right hand was injured.
Mwangi has been treated and discharged but his Fiancee, Gakenia has not been able to sit or stand.
The wedding which had been scheduled to take place at the Dominion Towers Deliverance Church today, Saturday December 19, because of Gakenia condition, the wedding took place at Outspan hospital with nurse as bridesmaids and in the Presence of Reverend Stephen Mungai, friends and family.
Even with several hitches and difficulties, the wedding went on successfully.
The Reverend referred to it as the 'First in Nyeri".
Such wonderful work of Love.
