The Burundi Vice President, Gaston Sindimwo, while addressing pro-government supporters during a protest march country-wide in Burundi on Saturday warned against the entrance of foreign soldier into the Burundian territory without the authorisation of the government.
The Vice President also warned Politicians who are out to cause insecurities and criminals perpetuating crimes in the country saying that the Government will not tolerate such.
The Protest attended by hundreds was carried out to oppose the motion of the AU to send troops to the country. These demonstrators carried banners expressing opinions like " We are against the deployment of AU troops into Burundi” and “There is no war or genocide to justify the deployment of AU troops”.
Sindimwo warned against the plan by AU to use the peacekeeping mission to avert further violence in the country, where protesters have been rebelling against President Pierre Nkurunziza’s third term in office.
