Argentina president sworn in

Mauricio Macri, has been sworn in as Argentinian president turning the page on the  era of the leftist Cristina Kirchner.
This starts a new Era for Argentina after been led by Kirchner and late husband Nestor who led the people out of an economic meltdown.

"Today a dream is being realised". Macri said.

He has made promises to the country,

Macri has vowed to reboot Latin America’s third-largest economy, which is heading back towards recession, by ending protectionist import restrictions, cutting heavy taxes on agricultural exports and scrapping the official exchange rate puffing up the Argentine peso.

An argument even ensued between Macri and Cristina Kirchner. Macri, 56, wanted to take the oath of office at Congress, then travel the 2km to the iconic presidential palace, the Casa Rosada, to receive the presidential sash and sceptre from Kirchner, whereas, Cristina insisted that they can both happen at the Congress.

This led both of them in court and at the end the court ruled in favour of Macri.

At the end, Cristina gave her speech and Macri was successfully sworn into office.
