APC in trouble over Misconduct

A chairmanship contestant, Abdullahi Hassan prayed the court to grant him leave to serve court processes to the APC, alleging that the state Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) had made known the list of some persons plotting to declare a particular candidate Aminu Ibrahim, the winner of the primaries.

On the application, The Sokoto state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been summoned by the state high court to appear before it.

Hassan also pleaded that the court stop the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) from conducting the local government election for Sokoto North slated for January 9, 2016.

The Court presided by Justice Malami Dogondaji in his ruling, granted the Hassan leave to serve the national headquarters of his party with court processes at Abuja, and adjourned the case to January 7, 2016 for hearing.
