A former heartland and Kano pillars player, Abdul Haruna, while playing in a friendly game on Sunday, December 6 slumped.
The game was between Kano pillars and an amateur club in the state. Haruna was in action with the ball when he slumped and was later confirmed dead after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
Burial will be on monday according to the Islamic rites. He left behind a wife and a son.
Cause of death is still unknown
