The Owonifari Market at Oshodi which has been in existence for more than 40 years was demolished in the early hours of today, Wednesday, January 6, 2016 and supervised by the commissioner of environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare, officials of Kick Against Indiscipline, police and other top government officials.
The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode was also present when the demolition started.
Following the demolition of the market, the area has been deserted.
