36-year-old Nigerian, Alexis Zogbelemow on Wednesday, January 6, was given the death penalty by the the Shah Alam High Court for trafficking drugs about four years ago.
Zogbelemow, a rental car operator according tobthe jurisdiction by Judge Datuk Akhtar Tahir, who found the accused guilty of drug peddling involving 824.1 grammes of Methamphetamine.
Judge Tahir ruled that Alexis’ defence statement was fabricated and merely a denial. Zogbelemow was caught in the main arrival hall of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Sepang, on February 28, 2012.
