You won't believe this. Rice water, so important. SEE
Household products often possess some unbelievable
health benefits. Rice water, for example, is one of nature’s beauty secrets. We usually throw away the water after the rice is done, but what we should really do is keep it and use it for our skin.
It is rich in vitamins and minerals which are great for the skin and hair. Read this article to learn how to prepare the rice water and see some of its beauty benefits.
1. Rice water preparation: Boil some organic rice in water and pour the excess water in a glass jar once done. Cover it and put it in the fridge to cool it down. When cold, you can use the rice water on your hair and skin.
2. Rice water improves the quality of hair: Shampoo your hair usually, then rub some rice water on your hair. Leave it to work for a couple of minutes then wash it away. This way, your hair will be smoother and shinier thanks to the proteins that will fill the cracks.
3. Rice water improves the skin: Wash your face clean with lukewarm water. Take a cotton pad and dip it in some rice water, then apply it all over your face. This will tighten your pores and bring a glow to your face.
Rice water acts as a lotion and has UV-absorbing properties. Our skin tends to form a layer of copper on it, but rice water binds this formation and prevents hyper-pigmentation and age spots.
4. Treats skin irritation and inflammation: Prepare some rice water and take a bath in it for at least 15 minutes every day. This remedy will cure rashes and prevent inflammation on the skin.
5. An excellent acne healer: Soak a cotton pad in rice water and apply it on the affected area. This will treat the acne and reduce the inflammation.
6. Treats eczema: Apply some rice water on the area
affected by eczema. Repeat the treatment until you see the results. Rice water’s starch contents are highly
effective against eczema.
7. Cures diarrhea: Pour some rice water in a glass and add a pinch of salt. Drink this solution to cure diarrhea quickly and easily.
8. Starching of white clothes: Soak your white clothes in some diluted rice water. Leave them for a couple of minutes then wash them usually.
Hope you learnt something from this article.
So next time you want to throw rice water away, You think twice. Lol

Jim Nwobodo defects to APC, transfers to Catholic Church
Former governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo dumped his party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday (yesterday).
On Saturday he completed another defection by dumping the Anglican Communion for the Catholic Church.
Nwobodo who was a staunch Anglican, first married Patricia in an Anglican Communion in the early 80 but moved over to a Catholic church today after he fell out with the leadership of Communion following the death of his first son Ifeanyi last year.
Nwobodo, who was at loggerheads with his first wife and Ifeanyi's mother, had insisted that his son must not be buried in his compound in his village in Anambra, a move that caused him and his former church to fall apart.
Nwobodo was such a devote Anglican to the extent that he single-handedly built the multi-million naira St. Mathew’s Anglican Church in his hometown, Amechi, Awkunanaw in the 70s.
He re-wedded his many years heartthrob, Patricia in the Catholic Church in Enugu. He had wedded her in the Anglican Communion in the early 80s when the late Abubakar Rimi performed the duties of best man.
Pastor Bakare calls on EFCC to probe CBN Governor
Pastor Tunde Bakare, 61, a fierce preacher and General Overseer of the Latter Day Rain Assembly, Lagos known for consistently contributing his opinion to topical issues and who was the running mate to the now President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 presidential elections under the banner of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), has called for the prosecution of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emiefiele, because of the role of CBN in the widely publicised arms deal saga..
He preached: “The government must examine carefully, the argument of economists, that sound monetary policy including proper management of the exchange rate regime by the CBN would eliminate the need for subsidies.
“The intricate connection between monetary policy on the one hand and the fuel subsidy debate on the other, makes the management of the CBN a major concern.
“To the discerning, the CBN currently contributes negatively to the Nigerian state in more ways than one. Firstly, the CBN has become a conduit for politicians to drain the nation.
“Otherwise, how can a letter of barely two paragraphs addressed to the current CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, by the then National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) , become the Authority to Incur Expenditure (AIE) leading to cash flow of $47 million (US dollars) and several millions of euros? “In decent climes, the CBN Governor cannot continue in office while the NSA is accounting for his alleged misdeeds.”
Hmmm. Should this CBN Governor be bothered about his Job and where he might in a couple of hours?
Just saying.

Death occurs during clash in Jos, Plateau
A clash which occurred in Jos, Plateau Statr between the Shiite members and rival Muslim youths when Shiite members were protesting the continued detention of their leader El-Zakzaky, his wife and some other members has led to the death of one.
Remember the Shiites/Army Clash on Saturday, December 12.
So following the deaths and arrests, several protests have been held by the group in various states and even countries in honour of the dead members and also demand for justice.
While confirming the incident, Capt. Ihedichi Iweha said the media and communications officer of the Special Task Force, also known as ‘Operation Safe Haven’, said many members of the movement were arrested when the otherwise peaceful procession turned violent at Bauchi road, leading to the death of one person.
See what Muslim women are facing from the Nigerian Soldiers
See how Soldiers harassed a Muslim woman and forcefully removed her veil(Hijab),
According to an eyewitness, identified as Adetutu, the woman was going peacefully when three soldiers stopped her and began to harass her.
The witness noted that it took the intervention of passersby and sympathisers for the Muslim woman to get her veil back.
See the eyewitness encounter,
“I arrived at the Meiran Bus Station to board a bus when I saw three armed military men stop a Muslim woman who was putting on ta black attire and a face veil. One of them confronted her asking why she used the face veil.
“The woman was surprised and helpless. Almost immediately he (one of the soldiers) turned up her face veil to reveal her face.
“The woman who felt ashamed only looked and could do nothing because the soldiers were heavily armed.
“After one of the soldiers revealed her face, another soldier forcefully removed the veil from her saying ‘This thing is not allowed in our country. You can use it in your house but not here’.
Hmmm. Is this the best way to go about this?
Is a ban on hijab the answer needed to end the Insurgency?
Is it not trespassing on the religious freedom in the country?
Is disregard for civilians a part of the democracy we are supposed to live in?
These questions are among several that crossed my mind while I read and wrote this.
